I messed up a lot during high school and regret it everyday during senior year. I know I am very bright, but my worth ethic and family issues (parents fight a lot) affected my grades a lot. I do not come from a wealthy home and our annual income combined is around $30,000.
I receive reduced lunch and fee waivers. I wish to go OOS and I am willing to leave school with a decent amount of debt. I am not sure I will be able to get into ANY of my preferred choices for a business major. My confident for any of my colleges is at an all time low because I messed up horribly during high school. I would appreciate any feedback, thank you.

Bump, any help would be appreciated.

your GPA is not that bad and DePaul has a 68.8% acceptance rate which is really high so definitely try it

Thanks for the reply! I’m really hoping for Syracuse and DePaul to give me a decent amount of money, but I’m not too confident on that.

Bump I’ll respond to other threads as well

Syracuse has come under fire lately for augmenting their need based aid to the detriment of their merit aid, which might play out well for you.

Yeah I heard Otsuichi. However, I don’t believe I even have a chance of sniffing Whitman at the moment. Hopefully my interview is great with them.

Bump Thanks.

Please I need more feedback. I don’t care if it’s something I don’t want to hear I really just need to know.

Are you from MA? UMASS Amherst is a very probable school for you. It has become more difficult to get in to in recent years, but you seem like a strong candidate. Their business school is fairly selective though.

Bryant seems like a definite possibility as well. If your GPA goes up a little bit you have an awesome chance at getting in. However, you have a chance of getting in as it is now.

You seem very interested in track. Are you good at it, or is it just something you enjoy doing? If you’re talented, you should try contacting coaches, because if you could be beneficial to their team they can sometimes help with admissions!

Lastly, you improved over the course of your high school career. Colleges would rather see improvement rather than an applicant who starts off with all A’s and then slips to C’s for no reason. As you said, you have a difficult home life. You are doing a great job for your circumstances. Maybe you could write a killer college essay on that!

I’m also applying to the UMASS Amherst Business school. Good luck with everything! You’ll end up at the right school in the end!

Care to chance me back?

I’m not great at track just Varsity. UMass Amherst is really only there to please my parents who don’t want to see me go somewhere far. It’s really not a place I would like to go. Thanks for the response!

Bump will chance back

Bump would really like to know my chances at Syracuse Whitman
