Messed up grading scale

I have pretty good grades for the most part and my gpa is sitting at a 2.9 cumulative. This is do to my grade in math the last few years. Im consistently getting D's in the class. However at my school they change the math grading scale so that anything under a 75 percent is considered failing While in every other class a 60 percent or below is failing. I should really be getting a C or C+ in the class, but it looks terrible on a transcript. If i send in a form with my schools math grading scale, do you think they can look past the D's?

Yes; they'll understand. If you really feel uncertain you can try to attach a letter of explanation with your grades. Just make sure the colleges actually know that there's a change.

I don't know. If I were a college I'd think there was a reason the school changed their grading scale, meaning the new one is a better indicator. If you want to send something your GC is probably the only one with any credibility on the matter. They might be willing to attach a short explanation if it really is a lot harder.
