So, I messed up high school and my grades are pathetic. Is it possible to get into UCLA, UCB or UCSD or any of the good schools(or should I say REALLY good schools) with good grades in community college?
Do high school grades matter after you've done 2 years at a community college?
Any help is much appreciated.. thanks!

First off, congrats on the healthy perspective and looking towards the future.

The short answer is yes, your HS grades matter. The good news is that they matter less as time goes on and as you finish more and more post-secondary coursework. By the time you’ve finished two years of college, your HS grades will just be one part of your story. And, from the sounds of it, it’ll be a good story!

Good luck!

We’re in a similar boat. I had bad high school grades, and I want to go to university of Illinois Urbana. I was just rejected for transfer due to having less than 30 credits, thus leading them to review my poor hs grades. After 2 years, you should get 30 credits and negate the effect of your bad grades

I attempted my transfer after 1 year btw.
