Messed up in Organic Chem... HELP??

So hey every one, I just finished my freshman year and I kind of made a bad judgment in deciding to take orgo my first year...

So I got a B- in Orgo I the first semester which is already not great, but then I completely screwed up my Orgo II grade in the second semester due to personal family issues and just a lack of focus in general, and ended up getting a D as my final grade which leaves my science gpa in a horrid state.
My first semester gpa was alright but second semester fell considerably. I am definitely planning to work my butt off in the coming years since premed is something that I know I want to do now. So I know that I will have to retake Orgo II for a better grade but my question is how badly will this affect my chances at med school? Do I still have any chances at getting in to a decent/good med school in the future if I work really hard?

As BDM says, there's no one thing that'll sink your application. If you screw up on one thing, everything else on your application will just be held to a higher standard.

In your case, you can't afford to screw up gradewise anymore. Since you seem to know why your Orgo grade was so bad, you need to figure out how to get your focus back and how to manage a balance between your schoolwork and your personal life. Those two issues will keep coming back during your time in college and medical school, and the sooner you learn how to deal with them, the better.

Finally, all medical schools in the US are good. Any medical school you get into will be decent/good.
