Met With My Honors Counselor Today,,,

Interesting appointment.

I really love her because she doesn't BS me like the other counselors we have. :/

I told her about how we thought the UCs don't even read the personal statements, and she told me that's completely false. (LOL.)

I even asked her if Berkeley read them, and she told me that they started to since two years ago. Our Berkeley Rep told her, haa. They didn't before, but now they are...so...[:

Still, I'm a bit hesitant. She told me I have a great shot of getting in...but I can't help but worry. ;___;

So for those of you still impatiently waiting...at least they read your statements! Yatta! [:

Almost a week!!! X__X;;

Some do, some dont. I know UCSB and UCSD don’t but UCLA, UCI, UCD, Cal do

Contrary to popular belief, as I myself thought, UCSD does read them. >__<;; I was surprised when my Admissions friend let out the beans. Oh well. I suppose they do read them when you’re being considered but GPA is below average, etc. Borderline applicant let’s say.

i knew someone who got in and their essay for ucsd was “My socks smell.”

They used to have you write different personal statements for every UC?

I made an appointment with my Honors counselor also, I’m meeting her tomorrow. I am trying to brace myself for the worst possible scenarios…

The person applied to only UCSD.

I should have made of list, because I had so many questions to ask her. Make a list! :confused: We had an hour talk…fun, fun.

&& I’m still anxious. @__@

Ah got it. Perhaps it was creative haha.

^
So uhm, delete your messages…[:

Done. 10 char
