Meteorology

I want to become a meteorologist and I have already applied to many of the colleges that have great meteorology programs. But I'm having a hard time finding information about the programs all together. There isn't any ranking websites that rank meteorology colleges, and there just simply isn't a lot of information on it. What makes FSU better than the rest? Any personal experience or information will really help me make my decision.

There is no ranking I know about but FSU has long been regarded as one of the best met schools nationally and likely the best in the southeastern US. Other really good schools include Penn State and Oklahoma. A family member is an FSU met grad and an MIC in NOAA. If you have specific questions ask and I will try to have him answer.

Many FSU grads have positions in NOAA, the military and broadcasting.

you may recognize her from nbc today show, she is a proud fsu grad

The best ranking I can find - from someone long in the business:

1 Oklahoma (except FSU is better in tropical met)

2 FSU + Penn State (FSU still better in tropical met)
