mexico

i was wondering if UCSD students go to mexico often??? or is that unheard off???
and how far away is it?? 20-35 mins???

it's not unheard of. UCSD (mostly underclassmen) students go to TJ because the drinking age there is 18. my friend's sister told me that TJ becomes unheard of when you become a senior and they begin to realize it's a "Freshmen" thing.

someone else can help you out with the distance.

well when they are seniors they are 21/22 and so they don't need to go to mexico to drink legally

my point... they begin to realize it's a "freshmen" thing.

there's a difference between "realizing it's a freshman thing" and not going because of the lack of need (cuz they can get all they want to drink in sd with no worries)

number 1: "oh, ew gross, only frosh go there, let's not go to TJ cuz i don't like frosh"

number 2: "why would we go all the way to TJ when we can go 5 minutes to a bar?"

i was not saying your point was invalid cr (hey wait that's my abbreviation too, lol), just merely throwing out another reason seniors wouldn't go to TJ

20-35 min is only if there is no traffic. Sometimes there is a much longer wait at the border (1 hr+ on holidays and sometimes it gets long on weekends too). After Jan 1, you will need a passport to go there at all.

Ah, a trip to TJ for some wholesome, holiday fun...
