Hello. I am current undergraduate. I want to pursue my master’s degree in screenwriting and acting. However, I know that most MFA programs only allow you to pursue study in only one area. Are there any schools where I could pursue a Master’s Degree in both Screenwriting and Acting?
Well, typically speaking, a graduate degree is a way for you to specifically focus in a narrow area of scholarship/inquiry/practice to master that area (hence the name). You need the dedicated time and space to hone your craft. Screenwriting and acting are two different areas of practice/expertise. Most people have a career in one or the other. While there are some people who find success in both, usually they start by concentrating on one or the other.
How far into undergrad are you? You still have some time to shape your interests and decide which one you’d rather pursue for graduate study.
