Hi, everybody.

We all know that you DO need work experience to get into MBA. What about MFE??? It seem more technical, and I dont see why you would need work experience.

I have already decided to do financial computation as my master. I know what I want to do. So, this is not a "I am not sure between MBA and MFE" thread.

However, I was wondering is it worth to get MBA after MFE, or not. And what about dual MBA/MFE 3-years program?

also, you guys welcome to post your thoughts about MFE.

You still there? Don't get an MBA on top of an MFE. Choose between the two. In order to make the choice, figure out if you want to be a general manager or deal maker/face guy type of guy or whether you like to construct models and do heavy math and tend to be more geeky. It tends to be one or the other with people, with obvious implications for what you should do. Anecdotally, from friends who have interviewed graduates at various schools, I have heard Berkeley has the best MFE program.

If you don't have demonstrated mathematical prowess, don't bother with it, 'cause it's tough wherever you go.
