I want to pursue a career in healthcare administration but there are a few different options for it.

*UT at Arlington has two dual degree programs: BS in Biology with MBA and BS in Biology with a Masters in Healthcare administration.

*A&M just has a Masters in Healthcare administration.

My question is which one of these suits my needs? Does a masters from A&M looks better than one from UTA, does a BS in Bio AND (MBA or MHA) look better than just an MHA? Any help would be immensely appreciated.

bump, anything at all?

The MBA gives you more flexibility if you decide eventually to pursue a career other than Health Care Administration. If you are set on Health Care Administration then the MHA may be preferable because it’s specific to your career choice. A buddy of mine has an undergraduate in accounting + MHA and has a very good career in Hospital administration.

I’m not sure you really need a Biology undergrad for your career path.

That’s what Ive been hearing about MBAs vs MHA, just in case you change your mind or something like that but would an MBA plus BS in Bio be any better than an just MHA in your opinion?
