MHC transfer applicants

Greetings fellow applicants! Any other prospective transfers out there? Looking for company to band together in the final month(s?) of waiting. Also posted to the Smith board as well. Hope to hear from my fellow transfer women!

I applied to Mount Holyoke too! The waiting is killer. I’m a vegan too, maybe we’ll end up at the same school next year!

Any idea on when we find out? I interviewed in late January and I think she said applications will be reviewed and notified (first around) the end of March. Are you transferring from a CC or a university?

Yeah they told me it should be around the end of March when I applied. I’m transferring from a public university in NY, you?

I am a transfer from a CA CC (started out of high school at a CA public university). I’m glad they are considering transfers with frosh admission-- UC’s don’t notify until the very end of April! I am glad there are fellow vegan transfers out there :)

I’m also a prospective transfer student and am wondering if anyone knows when we get our ISIS info either emailed or postal mailed to us from Mt Holyoke (so that we can check the status of our applications?)? Has anyone received theirs yet? Thanks! :)

I sent in my application in January, and received ISIS a few days later, so it should be any time. Since the “priority deadline” was March 1st, maybe it will take a few more days because of the high volume of applications? In regards to actually finding out, according to a student who applied RD, we are emailed that the notification is posted on ISIS (some time at the end of the month?) hope all of that is helpful !

I called the admissions office and they said decisions for transfers will be on or before mid April. When I visited, I was told I would receive a decision end of March. Part of this is me wanting to know, the other part is being from the west coast and having to make a flight last minute would be expensive (of course if i am to be admitted). Has anyone else heard a time of notification or actual date? In looking through some threads from last year it was march mid to late 20’s.

Hi guys! As a current MHC sophomore, I just wanted to wish you all the best of luck - I’ll send out good thoughts for all the transfer applicants. I am applying to transfer out but it has NOTHING to do with MHC personally – it has to do with what I want to study, which is pretty specific.

Anyway if any of you have any questions whatsoever about life/classes/housing/activities/anything here, please don’t hesitate to hit me up and ask! :)

to answer my own question from a little while ago, my ISIS updated and now says that I will receive a decision on or before April 1. Assuming that is the same case for anyone else who submitted their application by the priority deadline! Getting closer…

PeggyOlsen–I’m transferring from a community college in NY! What a coincidence. I’m waiting to hear from MHC, Smith, Bryn Mawr, Wellesley… and one SUNY + Marist College as a backup.

I’m having heart palpitations waiting to hear back, especially from MHC… it’s basically tied with Bryn Mawr for me, but MHC’s equestrian team is tipping the scale.

Oh cool I applied to Smith, Wellesley and Bryn Mawr too! I love New York but I definitely feel ready for a change of scenery. I’m getting so anxious to hear anything back, I’m so in love with all four schools, I would be beyond thrilled to be accepted by a single one. Good luck to you!

Me too! I’m just tired of the state schools… I went to SUNY New Paltz last year then transferred to a community college close to home because I couldn’t handle the partiers. I would happy to be accepted to any of them as well (: Good luck!!

We are all in some sort of women’s college waiting boat, so it seems. I feel similarly about my state schools as well, too big and too many parties. Looks like RD for MHC is anticipated for Friday-- do you ladies think we will be included in that? Or just have to keep waiting until next week?

I think I’ll likely have to wait. My last application materials didn’t go in until last minute… besides, I’m hoping they haven’t reviewed it yet because I want to send in one last (extra) thing! One professor deliberately low-balled my midterm grade, but I ended up getting an A as a midterm so I just wanted to send that in.

I’m simultaneously dying to hear from the colleges and terrified at the same time!!

I can’t wait either! I have applied to many of the seven sisters and the suspense is killing me right now. Moho says 'on or before April 1" on ISIS. I hope it’s different. Good luck everyone!

Hey, has anyone else’s financial aid information disappeared? I know the RD applicants reported this happening but just wondering if that means for transfers our decisions may be getting close too? All my info for submitted documentation has gone… I have no documents tab.

Hmmm that’s interesting! I purposely decided to give it a rest tonight. I’m on there a million times! I had no idea the RD said so also. What gives?? What do you think that’s about?? I’ll check in the morning and write back… That’s funny bc I saw some of my fin aid info on smith & I still don’t know their answer… Thru the real mail on 3/27 apparently…

Ok… My fin aid info/document tabs have all disappeared from the screen. Waiting & waiting. Wishes I knew when it was coming exactly!!

Anyone hear anything? thenaturalista–you said something about 3/27? Which was today… and I haven’t gotten anything.
