I just checked ISIS a little while ago and I got in!!! Best of luck to everyone else (: I’m so excited!!!

haha so many girls here from the Smith board! I didn’t complete my application to MHC (visited and decided not to apply) so I wasn’t expecting a decision at all but I just checked my email and got notification that I’ve been accepted! Has this happened to anyone else?

I got in too, I can’t believe it! I was not expecting to have a decision to make, I’m compeletely surprised. I’m just nervous it’s not going to be a possibility since I checked d financial aid and my expected parental contribution is 34000. My parents aren’t helping me pay for school at all and I don’t know if I"ll be able to find a loan without a cosigner. I’m figuring my package from Smith is going to be similar :(

PeggyOlsen–I think my aid package is similar to that, as was estimated on collegeboard. I’m hoping it’ll be decent… even if I have to take out a decent loan I’ll do it for whatever college I choose. I’m not giving up the chance to go someplace amazing like Mount Holyoke or a different seven sister!

Is there any way you can talk to MHC about fin aid since your parents are unwilling to help? I know it gets complicated when parents are able but just don’t want to help, but it can’t hurt to ask.

Thanks cwhaticando I think I might try to call and talk to someone at the financial aid office. I did write about the situation in the special circumstances portion of the css profile, but it can’t hurt right? Hopefully I’ll be able to work something out, like you said whatever it takes!

Congratulations to all and good luck with the details, ladies! I was wailisted yesterday but accepted to Smith on Tuesday.

I just declined (going to Smith!) so I hope one of you wait listed ladies gets my spot! Best of luck to everyone, wherever you end up :)
