I am looking at MHC and Smith and like what I have learned about both. I will be applying as a third year transfer with a studio art major and in need of generous fin aid. Anyone have any useful comparisons I should consider (especially about academic work load, campus life, the surrounding area, and the general college experience? Thanks.

These should be helpful:
[Mount Holyoke College :: Transfer](http://www.mtholyoke.edu/adm/transfer.shtml)
[Smith College: For Transfer Students](Smith College | Transfer Applicants)

They offer generous amounts of aid to international students, so I imagine that they must give FinAid to transfer students too.

If you are gifted and present yourself well, I think that they will be generous with tuition.

Best of Luck!

From reading your previous post, you sound like a good candidate!

Congrats of 3.9 GPA!

:)

MHC has an eel ladder, located at the falls of Lower Lake. It’s the first such ladder implemented on a college campus and is used to “allow students to measure and study migratory American Eels, then transport the creatures beyond dams that block their path to spawning areas in the Sargasso Sea.” How cool is that? :)

Bowwatch, no relevance to your question but a fun fact …Massachusetts governor Patrick’s dtr. attends Smith. Smith’s president dtr. attended MHC. President Christ was known to quip, " we get along better with a river separating us"
