CHANCES?

Hello, I'm a Miami alum. I think Miami is a reach for you (unless you are a minority or recruited athlete). Your ACT is within the middle 50% of accepted students, but your GPA is quite low, unless you went to an accelerated or highly regarded/competitive high school. Your list of extracurriculars seems a little thin - Miami seems to favor leadership experience and public service/volunteering. Over the past three years, the stats of incoming students are an average GPA of 3.7 and average ACT of 26/27 (higher if for the Farmer business school). Note that the admissions department closely tracks the number/type of interactions applicants have had with Miami in determining which bubble applicants to accept. You will increase your chances by scheduling an on-campus interview and tour and repeatedly contacting the admissions department with specific questions proving your have done your research on Miami University.

Good luck!
