Anyone have any insight on University of Miami's engineering program? All comments welcome

bumpppppppppp

I guess no one on the Engineering boards knows about it. You should try the College Board.

I haven’t heard much about UM’s engineering program. UF’s engineering programs are usually considered the best in FL, followed by UCF and USF.

I interviewed somebody who went there recently. They had been out of school for about 10 yrs had BS/MSEE, worked at 2 large companies. Impressive candidate. What you do with your degree is more important than the institution you received it from. It is regional so most likley you will find a job in the area.

I go to Miami for BME so I know a bit about that department. As someone said above, it really is what you make of it but so far I have had no problem getting into some of the top grad schools for BME and also have had a few job offers from some pretty big medical and biotech companies

How is Florida Institute of Technology? They are bombarding with recruiting email.

@theflash7269 Do you know by chance how the civil or industrial job opportunities are? And in general, do top F500 companies recruit the engineering program or mainly local companies?
