1450 SAT
96.5 GPA
Great Recs
Some EC's, but not a lot, just very dedicated to the ones I did

SAT: 800 V, 720 M but at the time I applied I had a 1460 (740 V), so I don't know if they factored my new score or old one
SAT IIs: 800 Writing, 750 2C, 750 Bio-M
GPA: 3.9 UW 4.6 W (? I think)
Pretty good recs, didn't read them so I dont know exactly but I chose teachers who know me well
ECs: main one was my NIH internship, which I think put me over the edge; I focused on it alot in my interview; other ECs include newspaper editor, mock trial captain; not too many, but I expressed my dedication to each one.

32 ACT

Outstanding essays and recs
I stressed my committment to student government and community service (especially hospital volunteering). I also mentioned my internship at Fermi Lab and my experience shadowing a cardiologist.

there is no scholarship specifically for HPM, though you should have gotten either the Bowman Foster Ashe (3/4 tuition) or the full tuition scholarship.

YES! I'm a junior and it looks like based on all ur stats, I should be able to make it in next year. I'm doin a research internhship this summer at UMDNJ so that should give my app a boost cause my ecs kinda suck.

Rehan, are you going to HPME.
And also, just wondering, are you Indian?

just look at his name, yah hes indian

haha, i figured that, just wanted to double check. But you wouldnt know from my name that im indian. And did you get in, and if so, are you going to HPME amirali

Ho, I just got 690 in cr, 790 in math and 770 in writing. My ecs are good to excellent. I have won awards for math club mvp for soccer (anticipate for all four years) and volunteeer at a hospital during the summer. I also have important leadership roles at my school. Do you think I need to retake the sat or should I concentrate on my SAT IIs?

actually im pakistani. I think im goin to the program at GW over the UM one, mainly cuz it seems easier and im feeling lazy. UM would be raw though, i hate to forgo the weather and tan females. GW is retardedly expensive too. tough decision... my parents are probably afraid of me getting involved in too much partying at UM so they are pushing GW. If it wasnt for the 3.7 GPA / 28 MCAT I would undoubtedly pick UM, but Im certain that i will become distracted. Its hard enough now that girls are shedding clothes in chicago, imagine what its like in miami!

hey...ive talked to someone in the miami program, and osmeone just regular bio undergra, both say its easy. if u cant get 3.7 after 3 years, they just make u take one more year at miami, and then ur min gpa is only a 3.5. so, as far as laziness,i think miami would be easier...just my opinion
