Hey so I just got my letter of acceptance to Miami University (got direct admission to Farmer and Honors Program) but there was no mention of scholarship in the letter (which I was kind of expecting). Is there another date that they will inform you of scholarship information or did I just not get any?
Also I am international and do not qualify for financial aid if that’s relevant.

I didn’t see anything about a merit scholarship in my acceptance letter but quite frankly I’d be surprised if I didn’t receive even a small one :-S
Merit scholarships are typically announced alongside admissions, so, brace yourself.
Yeah that’s why I was so surprised. Their guidelines and criteria indicated that I should be getting 50% to full tuition, so getting nothing was pretty odd…
Call them and ask if merit scholarships are being announced, and that you met guidelines/criteria for full tuition.

Their guidelines are just that…guidelines.
Miami has no guaranteed scholarships for anyone with certain stat. You might be eligible for one…BUT that does not guarantee you will receive it.
Contact the admissions…they usually deal,with merit awards.

Read this…international,students are CONSIDERED for these awards…not guaranteed.
Good luck…you might get one. But you might not.
Yeah I get that it’s just guidelines but if the guidelines indicate I should get 50%-100% and I get 0% I find that a bit confusing :-S
