@ccm2269 It makes me feel better there are others out there in the same boat. I hope we both hear back this week if not i’ll contact admissions on Friday.
does anyone know the difference between UASP and UH and if one is more competitive/better than the other
UASP is Scholars program (based on your declared major) and University Honors is separate. Some poster here have been offered one or the other, or both. Depending on the major, it looks like UASP might be more competitive to get into than UH. S has 35 ACT composite (single test), 4.0 GPA, 7 AP courses, good ECs, intended major Mechanical Engineering. Got honors, but not UASP from the engineering school.

university2021 did you receive any merit yet? I’m in same boat.
OOS 29,000 per year with UASP and UH for the Farmers Business school. 5.19 W /4.0 UN , 3/690, ACT33. Lots of ECs and volunteer work also URM. Very grateful but OSU offered full tuition so my D has lots to think about.
Any news @ccm2269? Fingers crossed for your daughter.
No and it is a bit odd. She is in the range with both GPA and scores. In reading above, it appears that we are not the only ones so who knows. When she looks at her banner web it says the following:
“Based on your academic transcript, the status of your academic progress is Elig. for Aid - Under Review as of Fall Semester 2017-18.”
@CollegeboyLloyd Still no word. Im hoping a letter will come in the mail next week.
Son accepted EA. $12,000/year OOS. 31 ACT and 3.6 GPA. Does anyone know what the stipulation is to maintain scholarships? Is there a certain GPA requirement? Congrats to all accepted!
My son’t final award letter (March 2015) said a 3.0 GPA minimum was required to maintain his OOS merit scholarship.
Daughter accepted EA into UASP. $35,500/year, plus $1-2K for UASP. 35 ACT, 3.99 UW and 4.6 W GPA.
Direct admit to Farmer (Supply Chain Management), UASP OOS min of $19,000/year. 1370 SAT, 3.85 W (in a top ranked public MA high school), 6 APs, lots of community service
Should i be worried if i applied August 31 EA and have yet to hear back?
Yes.Us too.
I called the Admissions Office and they stated that information will be mailed around the 29th of January.
Sorry, new member. To clarify, my call was about financial aid information. My son was accepted 12/22.
Has anyone who applied EA heard anything after the initial December acceptances? Applied EA but haven’t heard anything. All other schools have responded much more quickly. Should I be worried?
My Daughter applied before October 31st (not Early Action) and still has not heard anything as of yesterday…but a student in her same high school in NJ (definitely with a better ACT score) got accepted early this week (via hard copy letter)…hopefully a response is coming SOON for ALL…
I had to email my addmissions counselor regarding my choice of major in early January. According to her email, I will be notified of their decision on February 1st (early action). So everyone should be hearing soon! The people who were notified had above average credentials, applied to Farmers, the Engineering program or to an Honors Program.
Also I applied on November 8th to the College of Arts and Sciences, 3.6w GPA and 27 ACT
