<p>Academically - Miami(OH) - It is thought of very highly in the midwest.</p>
<p>Socially - Pitt - Cool school in a cool area of a cool city.</p>
<p>I would choose Pitt, but would want to visit both before choosing.</p>
<p>They are the same academically. Miami is in a podunk town in the middle of nowhere of Ohio. Pitt is in a large city. Pitt also has Big East athletics, compared to MAC athletics.</p>
<p>Despite being completely rejected by Pitt (my state school nonetheless...), I would easily choose it over MU. It has the edge in every aspect except for percent white students and expensive as hell.</p>
<p>Academically I would definately consider Pitt higher. But you NEED to visit both schools, they are VERY different in environment.</p>
