My background: my mom is an immigrant but I was raised in an upper class family on Long Island, NY. I attend an all boys Catholic Prep School that has a very good reputation here in the Northeast and around the states. The course rigor is extremely difficult, although we are not offered any AP classes, we learn the AP curriculum and all classes are considered honors classes. I am in one accelerated class which is Spanish. My essay was strong and my recommendations were strong. Here are the rest of my stats:
GPA: 88/100 (upward trend)
ACT: 31
ECs: President of vídeo club, one Varsity sport for two years, I have two jobs (life guarding), I volunteer for two hours every Monday for two years now, NHS, Senior Leaders Club.
Decisions so far: Siena College (accepted with 17k per year) SUNY at Buffalo (accepted) University of Georgia (rejected)
If you have time, please chance me for Miami University Oxford Ohio (Farmer School of Business)
I really appreciate it!
P.S - Miami is my number 1 choice right now and I really regret not applying ED! I flew out and visited, not sure if expressing interest will weigh that heavily on my decision though.
