Miami University EA Class of 2022

Any idea on when decisions will start coming out? I thought I would start this thread so we could share our stats any updates.

GPA: 3.7 UW
SAT: 1360 (New)
Major: Accounting at Farmer

Miami website says February 1st for EA. I read back on threads for last year’s applicants, and it appears stated decision date was the same for last year, but some EA decisions started coming out December 21st or 22nd. Let’s hope this holds true for this year as well! My D has applied for FSB as well, OOS.

My son has also applied to Miami EA and can’t wait to hear back. Hope the decisions start coming out sooner than 2/1.

Hey! I applied EA to Miami as well, here are my stats:
To start off I want to say that I go to a catholic prep school in ny that does not offer AP’s and all classes are considered honors, I have one accelerated class which is Spanish, the school is known for its extremely hard rigor.
GPA UW: 3.3
ACT: 30 composite, 31 superscore
Finance at Farmer

Good luck to everyone! Miami is my first choice right now!

My older son applied EA, but I can’t remember when he received his offer. Next son has applied EA also. He attend a Catholic boys school that does not offer AP’s before junior year. His stats:

ACT: 30
UW GPA: 2.9
APs: 4
Honors math all four years, with AP Calc senior year
2 sport Varsity athlete
OOS
Major: Nutrition or undecided (not sure what he listed)

Good luck everyone - waiting is the hardest!

Does anyone know when we can expect decisions to start coming out?

I can’t say for sure but when my son applied two years ago, he applied on 11/24 and he heard right around Christmas time. Hoping they’re early this year as well. My D applied early November.

Jumping on this thread…my D applied late November before the 12/1 EA deadline…not expecting to hear for a while but earlier would be better :). Her stats:

34 ACT
4.0 GPA uw/4.55 w
Top 3% of class
10 AP
OOS
Varsity athlete/ leadership ECs
Major: Russian & Economics

Good Luck everyone…I feel like the communication from Miami U is excellent, they have impressed me thus far.

@AmyBeth68 Miami goes above and beyond with the communication. The best thing, IMO, is that they don’t put the hard sell on when you visit for accepted student days. Every single person my son spoke to, from deans to faculty to admission staff, said, “You have to go where your heart is.” I was so impressed with them.

My son applied EA as well. He attended the Summer Scholars programs over the summer, and now Miami is in the top two for him. Anxious to hear some news- hopefully soon.

Hi I also applied EA. I submitted my CA in late October but only completed everything (financial form, copy of passport, etc.) in late November. I wonder when we will get the results. Hopefully soon. Good luck everyone!

My son applied end of October - EA as well.

He is OOS with a 3.6 gpa (w) and a 1460 - he applied as a chemistry major. Good luck to everyone!

Is the February 1 notification a hard date? Or will some decisions be coming out before that? I applied October 13. Good luck to everyone!

Decisions usually start coming out a week or so before Christmas.

Does anyone know when merit notifications are sent as well?

I’m really hoping to hear in December about admissions and merit, but at least admissions.

Anxious for my decision!! Went to Miami for Summer Scholars and honestly got turned off by the school big time but then I went to Bridges and felt a little better about applying!! Hope everyone makes it.

Can we expect decisions to come out tonight?

@itwasawedding I don’t think so, unless you have some intel?? I emailed admissions last Friday inquiring if there was any news on release, and got a response back from our admissions rep that EA admissions letters will go in the mail on January 30th :-<
But…maybe they will release via portal earlier? Last year it did appear that notifications started rolling out in late December for EA. One can hope. The other thing he said in email is that they received 30,000 applications this year! I assume he meant including all types of applications.

Two years ago my daughter heard before Christmas by letter - admission and Merit scholarship.
