Miami University Merit Scholarships

I am in-state students who was offered $7000 in merit scholarship which is around half of the tuition. How much merit did miami U give you guys (in-state)? What are your stats?

My stats, GPA:3.87 unweighted, ACT: 25, All my classes during junior year were CCP and AP classes. Great Extracular activites (lots of clubs and community volunteering), great essay.

17,000 in state. 4.0 unweighted GPA, ACT: 36, 9 AP classes, national writing awards, 3 season varsity athlete, captain, MVP, Academic All State, Editor and creator of school literary magazine, lots of other EC’s and volunteer work. Admitted to pre-med scholars program but not honors.

@AS12345 I would be quite happy with $7000/yr. Based on past info, it is surprising you would have gotten that much with the 25 ACT. It seems like they follow their “chart” fairly closely. Your ACT does not fall into their “chart”. With that said, your Junior year course load was probably helpful and you obviously had something special in your app beyond test scores. Congrats!

Last year, son #1 (CS) received $7500/yr, 3.9 W GPA (?UW), 32 superscore. This year, son #2 (Fisher) received $6000/YR, 4.25 W GPA (?UW), 30 superscore. Both had lots of EC and volunteer. In state. College prep hs with most honors, some AP, V athletes, tutoring. Father-alum.

$9,000/yr in state. 4.3 GPA, ACT 32, 7 AP classes.
Strong ECs including 3 years varsity cheerleader + captain, drama club VP and in six musicals, Secretary NHS, Secretary of senior class and four years on academic team, two years varsity letter. Plus 300 hours volunteer work.
(Not that is has anything to do with how much I received but both parents were Redhawks.)
