Miami University Transfer?

From what I've seen on the Common Data Sheet, the school accepts roughly 60%+ of applicants and before I submit my non-refundable $50 application fee, I wanted a bit of a feel of where I stood (from those more knowledgeable than myself about the school and the transfer application process--I'm a first gen college student and the advisers at my current school don't help much).

My HS stats:
3.2 GPA
26 ACT (not sending, but they're on my HS transcript)
So-so ECs (volunteer work was a requirement to graduate and to go from one grade to another)

College:
First gen college student. Black female
Community college in Ohio
GPA: 4.0
Major: Chemistry (but I've been contemplating changing it to English or Biology)
ECs:Heavy research experience since my first semester, PTK, active member of the Honors Program and some other stuff (Spring Break = fried brain)
Credits: 29 completed and attempting 15 now and 5 in the summer

Do I stand a decent shot? I REALLY want to transfer for the fall.

And does anyone know how good (or bad) their financial aid is? Scholarships?

You should have a pretty good shot at getting in. I had a hs GPA of around a 3.5 and an ACT score of 24 and was let in last year. I also had really good E.C.

I ended up not going to Miami though because it was very pricey(as I’m sure you know). Some other students I talked to ended up going and had most of their college paid for by Miami. I ended up being 10k short on my yearly costs and did not want to take loans. If you have any other questions you can PM me.
