Hey there,

I want to transfer to Michigan and was going through the threads and read that Michigan has rolling admission for transfers! I thought that was only for freshman applications. Since the deadline for Winter 09 is October 1st, do I still have a good chance of getting into the Industrial Engineering program as a sophomore? I have a 3.70 freshman year GPA.

Also, I will have all the prerequisite courses satisfied except Linear algebra/Differential Equations. Will this pose a problem? Couldnt I just take this course at Michigan itself?

I sent an email to the concerned person asking him but he has not responded yet and I was hoping for an answer so that I could go ahead and apply since its rolling..

Thanks

I am not sure that the admission is rolling. The application did not actually come out until August 22. About the prerequisites, I am pretty sure they require that they be done. I wanted to transfer this Fall as a sophomore, but was told I needed to have the prereqs done.

I talked with the Coordinator of Transfer Admissions for the CoE. I had a 4.0 gpa at the time (now 3.97) and he said that if I could finish all prereqs but one, he could recommend me for admission, but I could still be denied because I was not done with all of them.

I would believe they do not have rolling admissions, but could be wrong. This is based on the fact that the application is only live for about 40 days.

Transfer admission is rolling for LSA (That I know for sure)
