Americaaa!!!!!!!!!!! _ _ _ _ yeah

chill…he just won 14 medals…he can do anything he wants :b

also, he’s an adult, and he can handle the strains of the drug on his brain as well as the responsibility of using it (as he has shown)

we’re not talking about crack or anything…

I dont think the OP was criticizing Phelps for smoking weed…just saying

I can’t believe this actually made a news story.

It’s not a big deal at all. And it’s not even a hard drug.

It’s not a big deal if he does it in his house or with his buddies…but its a big deal when he gets his picture taken and it goes around the world, especially being a role model and all. Many endorsements strictly say ‘no drugs of any kind’…sucks, thats why I never wanna be famous ;)

he’s an absolute moron. why the hell would he admit to using marijuana? he should have said it was tobacco, hookah type… freaking idiot just lost himself millions in endorsements. all to get high

According to the Rosetta Stone commercial, he also speaks Chinese. Ha.

I figure Michael Phelps can make up for the money he lost on endorsements from this. He can become a celebrity figure for the legalization of marijuana. There may not be as much money in that as in cereal, but hey. It’s a gig.

"It’s not a big deal if he does it in his house or with his buddies…but its a big deal when he gets his picture taken and it goes around the world, especially being a role model and all. " I doubt he thought he was in a public place to be photographed.

I like his honesty.

And now he’s getting more publicity again, which I guess is better than none.

The notion that someone has to lie to the people in order to be considered a role model is sick and perverse.

Yeah I take that back…he’s being paid to be an athlete, not a role model, plus its one more person I can put on my list of successful people who smoke pot.

he was at a college party at the University of Southern Carolina

He smoked weed.

Okay,

thats great.

Why do we care?

^
Exactly. I really dont care…in fact, i think i respect him more

Oh, so thats why he can get 12000 calories a day. Talk about the munchies!

Christ, he’s 23 years old. People need to give him a break, let him live his life as he’d like to for now. This shouldn’t have been a news story at all.

This is a big victory for smokers around the world. Remember kids, if you smoke pot you will win 8 Olympic gold medals.

Who said it was a news story? The picture was originally published in News of the World.

His sponsors haven’t pulled out on him- that’s probably reflecting shifting public sentiment toward that particular drug.

correct, I whole heartedly support him smoking weed.

yah because people buy roors for tobacco…

i love you michael phelps. toke one for the team, rip it up phelps. honestly, marijuana is not even that harmful compared to other drugs. happy tokin’ peace out brothers
