Michael Steele, Law '91 New Republican National Committee Chair

Is is truly notable how on an almost daily basis, whenever you look at the news, some former Hoya gets cast in a major leadership role. We have Michael Steele today taking the helm at the Republican National Committee, and with the current dearth of leadership in the party, may well become the face of the Republican opposition the next few years. Just yesterday, we had Pat Quinn take over as Governor of Illinois. I guess it's that Jesuit thing about using knowledge to change and improve the world rather than just seeking knowledge as an end in itself.

Lets hope that George Mitchell, former Majority Leader of the Senate and Hoya Law grad , who was made Mideast Peace Envoy last week, can pull out a settlement in the Mideast Peace process as well.

didn’t even know he’s a Gtown law alum, awesome!
