Michgan vs. GWU

hi everyone! i've been on the board for about 6 months, but i've never posted much. Just reading everyone's posts have been so helpful!

Basically, i can't decide between the university of michigan and gwu. i want to study international relations and possibly minor in economics or latin american studies. i know that academically, michigan is the better school, but gwu is in dc and there are so many internship opportunites. plus, i've been accepted to the elliot school of international affairs at gw.

i've visited both and love both, too.
what scares me is that michigan is huge (i'm oos) and
gwu has a reputation for snooty students.
but am i correct in thinking that both school are really diverse??

Both are diverse. I would recommend Michigan for a couple of reasons:
1) It has a much better reputation
2) If you change your mind and want to study something else, it is likely to have an excellent program in everything from A to Z
3) You can get internships at Michigan too - opportunities to do research with faculty, work at various institutes on campus, etc.

gwu has a reputation for snooty students?

supposedly, because many of the students who go there are extremely wealthy. but i guess thats everywhere. thanks.

Michigan, this is a CLEAR choice.
