<p>It's no longer called michigamua (the new name is "Order of Angell". It was extremely controversial for various reasons.</p>

<p>You become a member by distinguishing yourself on campus for your first three years at school. If you are a prominent undergraduate, there is a rare possibility that you will be one of the 25 people annually who is "tapped" and selected for the society. But anybody that expresses a great interest in joining is not going to be selected.</p>

<p>It's a very cool secret society - funny that it's on Wikipedia. Though the Wikipedia article doesn't mention the Title IX controversy and the women's secret society that paralleled Michigamua.</p>
