I want to go into finance or banking as a profession. I’ve been accepted Into Michigan state and I can projbably get into Broad buisness school for my sophomore year, but I also got accepted into university of Michigan lsa but I didn’t even apply to the buisness school Ross as a pre admit because I knew I wouldn’t get in, so I still have the option to apply to Ross for sophomore year but my chances of getting in are slim. So, what would be better for my career path an Econ degree with a buisness minor from lsa Michigan, or a bachelors in finance from broad at MSU?
1 - Broad
2 - ISA Umich
3 - Econ

MSU is not a target for major banks. Michigan is. This is a no brainer. If you want to major in accounting and work locally, for one of the major accounting/auditing firms, I would have recommended Broad. But in your case, Michigan makes better sense.
Michigan.
Finance is a different animal than most branches.
The companies, especially for finance, that recruit there, simply aren’t the same. .(Finance/consulting groups don’t choose based on whether you’ve got a finance major - they’d rather have any sort of major including English, philosophy, classics, and obviously math, statistics, economics… From a prestigious university.
