See you all in a few hours!
Enjoyed meeting you all this past weekend! I wish you the best of luck in your senior year and hope you choose to come to Michigan! Go Blue!
I am attending the top scholars program this weekend, which seems to be very similar to the leadership weekend based on a comparison of their respective agendas. I was wondering if you could elaborate on the activities that took place? Mostly, I am trying to determine whether an extensive amount of outdoor activities will be involved. Also, did you share a room with someone? Thanks!
@Roudit The activities were not that exciting, to be quite honest. For us, we had several “strength building” exercises that were interesting in concept but a little tedious to go through. We also had “leadership workshops” that were actually very interesting - we had the opportunity to listen to current engineering students speak about their experiences (in projects groups, abroad, etc.) and I really enjoyed the chance to talk to them.
We didn’t spend that much time outdoors; most of it was walking to and from buildings/the bus. We did get a chance to walk around Ann Arbor with a student for twoish hours, so be prepared for that.
And yes, there are roommates! I think there were one or two people that roomed by themselves because the other student pulled out, but it’s safe to say that you’ll share a room.
Overall, everyone is very friendly. You’ll have a lot of fun!
EDIT: I forgot, we also toured the Big House! You’ll get to walk around the actual field, so count that into your “outdoor activities.”
@Roudit It was pretty on par with what post #22 said. Very minor differentiation.
