<p>What are the fraternities like at Michigan? I'm really interested in the school, but I also like the idea of being at a school that's pretty "fratty". I've looked at Vanderbilt and I sort of like how it is preppy and fraternities are big and important. In a way, are the fraternities at Michigan preppy and big on campus? Any info is appreciated.</p>
<p>Greek life has a very strong presence on campus. The underclassman party scene is basically centered around fraternities and greek organizations are some of the largest on campus. Do you have to go greek? No, it’s only about 20% of the school, but I’m certainly glad I did. There are something like 34 fraternities on campus and around 12-15 that are relavent.</p>

<p>depends on the fraternity or sorority. It would be unfair to group all of them under one stereotype. Its safe to say that whether you’re fratty, nerdy, outgoing, whatever, there will be a fraternity for you.</p>
