Does anyone know the average GPA of an LSA Freshman, and how difficult it is to obtain a 3.3 freshman year. If anyone has statistics concerning students' GPAs it would be helpful.

Pretty easy. I'm an Honors freshman (just finished classes) and barely did any work last semester and got a 3.325. (Econ 101, Calc II Honors, Great Books, Spanish 231)

thanks a lot man..i appreciate it i

i heard from 2 seniors from my school last year that it's very easy to get a high GPA at umich. one said he had around a 3.8 without much studying at all, and the other had a 3.7 not studying much, one's a ross PA and the other's in engineering

niceeee thanks to u too ur making me more confident ahha

I promise you a 3.7 in engineering with little studying is not the norm. A 3.3 in LSA is a bit above average. Honors classes usually help because the curve is set almost a letter grade higher.

In LSA, a 3.3 is pretty standard. Do your homework, keep up with the reading, and a 3.3 is virtually guaranteed. In Engineering, a 3.3 is challenging and will require hard work. A 3.7 in Engineering is definitely impressive.

wait matthew, if the honors curve is a letter grade higher than regular LSAs, how is that beneficial? wouldnt that decrease the chance to get a good grade?
