<p>So I heard that Michigan got rid of their old, wonderful way of calculating GPA that I had read so much about on CC from threads a few years back. Will they now also look at my freshman grades as well? I really hope not because I did "ok" freshman year for me, and it is bringing down my GPA.</p>
<p>They look at the GPA that is on your transcript. I believe they evaluate you by determining how you compare to other students at your high school and how your high school compares to other high schools. It is a holistic review so isn’t as simple as they count it or they don’t count it. They look at it and take it into perspective. 10th and 11th grade are more important.</p>
