I applied by the rolling deadline (Nov.1), which I got a conformation email from Michigan a while back. Trouble is, I just checked my application status on Wolverine Access. They have everything listed as received besides my high school transcript, which I'm pretty sure my counselor sent (by the deadline) at the same time as my recommendations. It's been more than three weeks for Michigan to process. Should I be worried that I possibly didn't make the rolling deadline?

Thanks to all repliers btw

If you’re sure the transcripts were postmarked by the deadline, then even though they haven’t been listed on WA yet isn’t an issue. 3 weeks seems long though, so I’d confirm again with your counselor that they were sent. Or…call admissions directly and ask.

that’s what happened to me!
you may want your counselor to call Michigan admissions directly right now.
Michigan is a large bureacracy and will take a while for all files to be properly processed. sometimes they have already received your transcript but there is a delay when it comes to changing your status on the computer.

yes, unfortunately it’s now thanksgiving break and my counselor is on vacation

You can call the admissions office yourself any weekday before 5pm. Just look on the U of M website for the number.

I believe UMich is on vacation starting from today…

that’s quite alright, since if Michigan is on vacation today, they will not process your application. just make sure it’s the first thing you do when you get back from vacation

yeah i think i need to talk to both my counselor and the UM admissions office.
happy thanksgiving guys!

Don’t worry … my son’s counselor sent his transcript Oct 23, and my son submitted his app Oct 30. His transcript JUST updated to “received” on Tuesday. You should call Monday just to make sure, but most likely it’s there but not yet updated.

yeah, just wait…

so i checked WA this afternoon and michigan finally posted that they received my transcript. whew!
