What does the MLC do that's so different and what's the "up's" of joining?

Michigan Learning Communities are also known as Living Learning communities. These communities all house students who participate in activities related to the theme of the community throughout the year. There are many different communities including one that involve Research (MRC), Healthcare (HHS), Community Service (MCSP), among others. These communities generally offer more academic guidance (Mentors, Study Groups) and provide students an opportunity to develop their experiences in the chosen field.

It’s all about integration.

You can find more information about them on the package you received from UMich after you were accepted (I assume you were accepted).

Here’s the link to the general website for all MLC’s too, if you’re interested.
