<p>Smith is not as good as Ross, agreed. If you have a high enough GPA at UMich, you can transfer into Ross after freshman year - but the bar is pretty high and not many succeed from what I remember being told last year. Another factor to consider is that I bet your GPA will be better at Smith than at Ross. And Smith is strong regionally.</p>

<p>I don’t know how well this holds, but I remember bearcats saying that all of his friends who had a 3.3 in engineering got into Ross (which may be equivocal to a 3.5/3.6 in LSA, depending on what classes you take). Given I don’t know what else they had going in their favor, but I don’t think it’s super hard to get in regular admit. I bet if someone were dedicated to it, they could do it.</p>
