Hey there!

Its decision time and I'm very confused...

Penn State seems to have a good repution, program and seems to send its students to the top forms.. However, its location in the middle of Pennsylvania is discouraging for me..

I really like Northeastern's campus feel in the heart of Boston! Northeastern's new honors dorms with suites beckon!

BU's campus isn't that attractive but the manufacturing engineering degree it offers as well as its repution is noteworthy!

I really like Boston but Michigan's program, prestige and diversity is overpowering! However, its location ( midwest!!! ) is not very attractive for me..

My current major is Engineering but I might want to switch to Business in my sophomore year if I dont like Engineering. Northeastern, Penn State and BU would afford me this oppurtuniy buut Michigan's Ross school is very competitive so I cannot be assured admission into the business program which is a con!

Not sure how to decide... Each school has its pros and cons and not sure what should I look at primarily! From a price standpoint, they are all the same approx so cost is not a factor here.. Please help!

Thanks

I go to Penn State and trust me, its not boring in the middle of Pennsylvania. There's a lot to do here and life isnt' boring at all.

Anyway, I would go to Michigan. Academically its the best out of the 4 schools you mentioned, and from what I've heard, Ann Arbor is an awesome college town. Getting into the business school is tough, but if you dont get in you can always do Economics or some other major. There are plenty of choices. Besides, Michigan is ranked highly in all of its programs, and no matter what major you choose, you'll be going to a university that's one of the best in all areas of study.

Hey..

Yes I can imagine Penn State having a lot to do. Just not sure if I can deal with the fact that its away from a major city. On the bright side, it has a general aviation airport as well as a glider port 5 miles away which is great for a pilot like me! :( I hate making such decisions!

I've heard that job prospects for Economics majors are not as good as business majors unless you get a graduate degree in Economics. I was hoping to work for a few years after my undergrad before getting my MBA.. It would really suck if my Economics degree hurts my chances of doing so!

Can anyone else comment on my list please?

Thanks Nick! :)
