I'm already worried about being put on North Campus next year. I've been thinking about maybe joining the MRC next year because although I'm not super interested in research I think it would be a good opportunity and something to put on a resume, but I am also worried about the social aspect. Does anyone know what it's like? I still want to have fun and meet outgoing people, not just people who study all the time and are only into their research. Is it worth it since I could live on Central Campus? Any feedback would be appreciated!

My friends here in MRC are some of the most outgoing and party-minded people that I know. You won’t have an issue in that regard.

UROP is an awesome program. If you really do shine and enjoy it, you may even get a professors letter :-D. Depending on who you get, they start off real basic, things such as cell culture, then gel electrophoresis, etc etc you learn a lot
