<p>I am a UIC GPPA pharmacy student, but I know many of the GPPA med students. If you come to UIC, you must understand the school is in a transition period. The school could become more residential, and that in turn, will help the clubs, greeks, etc. It all depends on whether the school can retain the some of the 50% freshman residential population or not. There is a private residence hall (Automatic Lofts) north of the Eisenhower. Some are interested in that.</p>

<p>It's like the super duper full ride scholarship where they pay for everything. You said you got a hefty scholarship from MSU so I was just wondering where it was from.</p>

<p>no i got all the money mostly cuz of PSATs.
iwas offered PA, so automatically in-state. </p>
<p>then nat'l merit gave me 2000 yr.
then msu gives free room and board along with 4000 less for tuition for out of state psat finalists. </p>

<p>I got into the program but received horrible scholarships (instate). With my stats I have better scholarships at better schools. Not sure if I will attend. </p>
<p>It seems like some students regret going as they feel they're smart enough to apply to higher ranked medical schools; going to med scholars really forces you to go to MSU's CHM. What is everyone's take on this?</p>
<p>That was an issue I thought about too, but many people on CC are saying that medical schools don't matter as much as the residency does, so CHM isn't a bad choice.</p>
<p>The next question is, then, how good is CHM at placing graduates in their first-choice residency? I can't seem to find the percentage anywhere...</p>
