I was accepted into Michigan State for the Fall 2017 semester with a 3.5 GPA, 1350 SAT Score, numerous academic/athletic awards for wrestling all at a top 10 academic school in the state of Michigan. I also took hard classes through senior year with AP Bio, Calculus (at my school this is super close to AP Calc 1, but the test is not required) and Honors Physics (at my school this is essentially AP Physics 1 except it doesn’t cover 1 chapter covered by the AP course).
During my senior year however, my grades began to slip a little bit.
Semester 1:
Calc: C+
Creative Writing: A
Honors Physics: C+
Entrepreneurship: A
AP Biology: B-
Semester 2:
Calc: B
Nonfiction: A
Honors Physics: D+
Entrepreneurship: A
AP Biology: B-
During my second semester I was able to improve my calc class grade, but I simply became lost when it came to physics. I have reached out for numerous opinions regarding whether or not I will lose my admission offer, including high school guidance counselors, a MSU advisor, and a CC advisor. They all said I should be safe due to the difficulty of classes this year. But, another opinion doesn’t hurt, so what do you think? Have you had any experience with MSU rescinding offers? Any feedback is appreciated as this is really stressing me out. Thank You.
