Michigan State University admissions chances after this letter.

We require additional information before making a final decision about your application to Michigan State University. Please arrange for your counselor to send your mid-semester grades for the current semester, or grades for the most recently completed trimester.

This is my current application status and it seems that they want my mid-semester grades. My mid-semester grades are not good right now because this is the hardest year in terms of the classes I am taking. What are my chances of getting in now? My GPA is a 3.36 and I have a 1310 on my SAT (out of 1600). My junior year I took 5 AP classes and got a 3.5 GPA for that year. My GPA is this low because of sophomore year. Any response would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Not sure what your chances are, but all you can do is comply expeditiously. They will see your classes are hard ones.

I got the same letter a few weeks ago. My gpa is even lower, at a 3.28 and my ACT is a 30 and SAT is a 1300. This is also my most challenging year in terms of classes because I am currently taking 4 APs, which is probably why they just wanted to see how I was doing in them. They accepted me quickly because I am doing pretty well. If your grades are not horrible, you should have a good chance at acceptance because I feel like this “mid-semester” letter is just a checkup really. There is nothing you can do about it at this point so dont stress it. Best of luck!
