Jkeil911: 5200 acres is not anywhere near 21 sq. miles! Furthermore, many of those acres are in agriculture south of the developed areas of the campus. Still, MSU is a very large campus with buildings stretching over 2 miles east to west.
Thanks @mommyrocks and @rjkofnovi , hopefully we will be able to make the right decision
By the way, anybody knows, whether they have big bowling place in CU Boulder? Also, I forgot to mention that my son doesn’t like to party, and he loves bowling, thank you for sharing
jkeill911- Not an “observation”. I am an MSU grad undergrad a nd graduate school. Never took the bus and neither did any of my friends. Kids walked to class. Some biked. The campus is known to be beautiful. I didn’t say it was more beautiful than others. Just talking about MSU. I am not the type to write about other schools I have not been to as that is not a fair comparison. Boulder sounds great from reading this site. As a NYer, i know nothing about it as far as ranking and reputation.
By the way, kids may take the buses now and complain about walking. My own kids took the buses at much smaller campuses. Speaks volumes about this generation we’ve raised!!!
You know, all this talk about which campus is prettier is nice and all, but I suspect that the OP might be slightly interested in how well Leeds and Broad place international students. I do not profess to know but you can ask each school that question. That it doesn’t seem easy to find Leeds’ job placement report while it is easy to find Broad’s (it has good placement numbers) is a tad suspicious.
Thank you, @PurpleTitan
Actually, international students wouldn’t be able to find jobs with a BA/BS, so it doesn’t matter. They would get an OPT, which they can do from either school (actually, probably more easily in Colorado than in Michigan), then would have to get a Master’s degree, before they might qualify for H1B.
@MYOS1634, placement also occurs overseas. Also, why do you think OPT would be easier in CO than MI?
Better economy, easier to find placement. Ann Arbor may be a classic college town, but Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Dearborn, Kalamazoo, Saginaw… aren’t exactly thriving and bustling with job opportunities for young internationals on OPT.
For placement abroad, OP would need to know which university is better known in his/her country, or whether either university will make a difference to job prospects there.
@MYOS1634, yes, but who comes to MSU to hire Broad grads is also a factor.
Thanks @MYOS1634 and @PurpleTitan ,

Yes, this is very important. I’m sure employers could care less which school is prettier or has better skiing.
Bowling at CU. It appears the only location is on the CU campus.
Thanks @rjkofnovi and @dadoftwingirls
Would someone please share, how is the town safety/crime rate surrounding Michigan State University? Is the city of East Lansing consider safe? Thank you very much
Huge student population in a very suburban environment. The link I am posting for you provides lots of information. Scroll to the bottom for East Lansing vs US information. I hope this helps you. When I was there, I truly felt very, very safe. Theft is probably higher than it was when I was there as there is much more to steal… cell phone, laptops, etc…

BTW, I googled UC-Boulder. Wow, gorgeous. Those mountains are amazing.
Lots of school spirit and Big 10 sports at MSU. Can’t speak for Boulder. Both schools look great and I don’t think you can go wrong with either.
Thanks for your input @crazed
thank you for the correction, @rjkofnovi. I was using my source’s data. 5200 acres is 8.125 square miles.
