Michigan State University

Okay, so I'm a Junior in High School and a Michigan resident. Very stressed about what school I should go to and what school I can get into. My GPA is not too hot - 3.05 cumalitive. I feel that the thing I have going for me is that I have had no B.S classes like foods (except for the requirments) and the fact I'm a MI resident.

NOTE: If it means anything, I went to a fairly good school for 9th and 10th (Henry Ford Academy in Greenfeild Village) and may go their for Senior year. I had no choice for my core classes and didn't offer AP for 9th and 10th graders.

Haven't taken the ACT but according to my practice tests about a 23-24, with a 30 in the English section.

If everything goes how I expect it to, what do you guys think my chances are of getting in the Michigan State University? From what I hear being a Michigan resident helps a lot and I have a fairly good shot...I just don't see it.

I don't really have a backup college, either. :</p>

Apply as early as possible. A ton of my friends applied this year and it seems that they were much more likely to get in the earlier they applied. Better applicants were deferred if they applied much later than people with lower GPAs and stuff.
Western or Eastern as backups?
