Inirtia, I would separate my experience of Michigan into three phases:

1) Freshman year: 6/10
2) Sophomore year: 8/10
3) Junior year-Senior year: 10/10

I never regretted my choice to attend Michigan.

10/10...and I mean it. It is the best choice I have ever made in my entire life. It's seriously like...I spent my entire senior year picturing the perfect college and it's everything I imagined and sooooooo much more.

Similar pattern for me. You like it more as you go. No school is perfect, but you take the highs with the lows and you'll enjoy your years at Michigan.

I give it a 7 for my freshman year.

the gloomy weather takes the 3
:)

(but snow is the most awesome thing ever...i probably would have taken it down to a 9 if it weren't for snow)

since i was a new transfer student last year,

my first semester (fall 06) was probably a 3/10, maybe even a 2.
my second semester (winter 07).... 9.9999/10.

what did it for me was for the people i got close with. i really think everything will correlate with the friends you make. i mean yeah, the campus, academics, etc., are just there and it's amazing, but if you don't have anybody to share that with.. what's the point?

freshman year 5/10
sophomore year 7/10

(I am feeling the uphill trend!)

(my scores would prbly be higher if i had not chosen to live the dorm i lived in..)

which dorm was that?

I'm gonna be living in Oxford most likely, and I'm a transfer. So will my first year experience be horrible? :(

Oxford's not that bad. Still on Central campus.

oxford is perfectly fine. it may take you longer to walk to classes, but it's worth it. also, most of the asian people that live off-campus live in the hill area.

Yeah, I suppose I had great friends from day one, so I enjoyed every second of college.

Freshman year: 11/10

Oh, that's not fair. 12/10 :-P. Or rather the power set of all points out of 10...(the things you learn from the boys in Ann Arbor...)

hehe I can't help it...I just came home yesterday and I already wanna go back.

GoBlue81, I stayed at the martha cook building for both years. And while I met some of my closest and best friends there, overall, I didn't like the "experience" of living there..

Is that all you learned from the boys in Ann Arbor Christine? Someone isn't doing their homework! hehe!!!

Seriously, you should study with me ;)
