Didn't think I would ever post on this forum again after waiting 6 months for Michigan to reject me last year but here I am. More refreshed than ever.

So right now I'm at St. John's University's 6 year pharmacy program. It blows here. I'm commuting so that probably adds to it, but even then, it still would blow. Social life sucks, all I do is study.

I want to get out of here so I want to reapply to U of M as a transfer. I noticed there are 3 terms one may transfer into: spring, summer, or fall.

I would LOVE to apply to the spring term but is the chance of acceptance equally weighed if I choose the fall option? I want to maximize my chances as much as possible.

Also, I know Michigan is pretty welcoming on transfers, but I was wondering what kind of GPA they usually favor from college. Just a range is fine.

To be competitive it’s best have around a 3.6 or greater, but obviously there are exceptions. The deadline for the current spring term is up, and I believe the fall term tends to have more openings. Hope this helps some.

But the Michigan website says the deadline for spring is February 1st? And that goes for fall and summer as well. I’m thinking about applying as a summer transfer because that’s when i would think the least people apply…

Oh my mistake, I was referring to the winter term deadline. I’m applying for Fall 2012, but just out of curiosity what are the dates for winter term vs spring term? I thought there would only be two semesters and then a summer term?
