Plan to go to Michigan CoE

I think it is easier to get a 4.0 in college than in High school

I Decided to Throw out
UT Austin, UW-Seattle, UCLA,

If I don’t get In, I will give another shot, Otherwise I will stay at my local school :slight_smile:

Your previous tesr scores suggest you are not competitive enough with the students at UMich even if you are admitted by transfer particularly for CoE. The average college GPA of transferred students was 3.66 last year. Good luck.

@billcsho

UMich Engineering does not require test scores in transfer admissions, I gave the University a call and they told me that they don’t need them, Only AP.

Also, who told you that the Average GPA was a 3.66. They can’t tell us the stats, and so that is why I have a hard time believing you.

Last but not least, Only stats, advice, and suggestions. I do not want to hear about my change being denied or accepted.

Thanks for saying good luck, I hope it does go well

Cheers

P.S. That is why I did not apply for Michigan this year.

The average transfer GPA for UMich is posted on their web site. I did not say the test scores are considered for transfer, I am just saying you will have a hard time to survive even if you were transferred.

@billcsho

Well, I have a story to tell

I believe in High School, it is damn hard to get a 4.0 GPA, than in college. What I will do is before I enter the class in Michigan. I will know the material before hand, take it with a good college Professor (Ratemyprofessor.com), and last but not least be organized. I know very well Michigan is very competitive. So I will have to even be late up night and study. But, Considering that I’am doing it right now. I have an understanding how hard it is. I’am willing to take the challenge, cause engineering are risk takers, not risk makers.

@billcsho

Oh and BTW, where did you find the average transfer GPA admitted. I tried finding it, and I could not find a single one.

Look for the Almanac posted on UMich.edu. By the way, the 3.66 is for 2016 transfer. The 2018 Almanac with 2017 data is not out yet.

@billcsho Perfect, I will definitely look at that, thank you so much billcsho. For now, I will work hard and try to get into Umich as a transfer.

Sincerely Jay

Oh P.s. GO BLUE

which is easier, spring or fall?
