My son is admitted to Michigan LSA major in business and also Emory with interest in business as well. We are from New Jersey. I think both business schools are great. Can anyone advise us the pros and cons of each?

Ross pros:
Brand new building with excellent facilities
On-the-go cafe inside the building with fresh food
Small group study rooms with state-of-the-art technology

Ross cons:
Relatively dismal weather
Far away from New Jersey

Goizueta pros:
Very well known in the South
Great weather in Georgia

Goizueta cons:
Need to apply as a sophomore to get in
Virtually impossible to get around in Atlanta without a car
Far away from New Jersey

target vs non-target

njparent, the only reason why Goizuette is concidered “great” is because of the Businessweek rankings. Unfortunately, those rankings are irresponsible, inaccurate and completely off. Emory is a great university and Goizuetta is a respectable and good Business school, but it is not in the same league as Haas, McIntire, Ross, Sloan and Stern.

Michigan is more well-known in New Jersey than Emory.

Making essentially the same decision…
