It doesnt matter at all. We benched Hart and Henne and we still made it a game. Staying healthy was the number one goal in this game and we achieved that. Next week will be an epic showdown.

at least ohio state lost....

I think its just that they've been out on the field too long

Well, they were running all over us in the first quarter, and we were down 20-7 at the half...

Seems like everyone came prepared for our defense and we only made the adjustment after half time.

Like I said, if Henne and Hart don't play, we would be in trouble, and we were. One cannot expect a true Freshman QB to lead a team to victory on the road in a stadium as intimidating and vs a team as balanced as Wisconsin. Mallett has talent, but I knew he would have a very tough time at Camp Randall. Even then, if instead of fumbling the ball on our second-to-last possession, Mallett had completed a pass, we would have probably won the game.

At any rate, since OSU also lost, Michigan is still tied for first place in the Big 10. If we can beat OSU next week, we will be outright Big 10 Champions and we will represent the Big 10 in the Rose Bowl. Hopefully, Hart and Henne will be well rested and not too rusty.

Question: Why does the Big10 always seem to wrap up their season at least a couple weeks before the other conferences?

You saw what happened to tOSU and Michigan with long breaks before bowl games.

Since the Big10 doesn't have a championship game, give the teams a bye, and play a week later. It'll also help to build-up hype.

I'm not so optimistic about Hart and Henne. Hart must be hurting. If he was anywhere near 90%, he would be starting off the game or at least came in to start the 2nd half.

Carr said after the game that he thought Henne was ready. But Henne had to take himself out 'cause his shoulder was affecting the way he threw which might explain the interception.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that both will be healthy enough to play the full game next week...

I think it's because of the weather. If you think about it, all the bowl games are in warm parts of the country too.
