Do u think its worth it for me to take both AP Micro and AP Macro if I am planning on majoring in finance/economics?

Or should I just pick 1 and use the period to take something else. Thankz.

What is the difference?

I'm just wondering if it will help me to take both and I'm not sure if I want to kill myself with work (This would be my 6th/7th AP)

I'm taking Micro right now and it's fairly easy, so if you're interested in economics you could probably handle both. And just fyi for votebarackobama (lol, I like your name), microeconomics is the study of how individuals and firms make decisions, whereas macroeconomics studies the economy as a whole.

i hear from my brother that micro is more mathematically based and macro is more of an understanding of economy itsself

You need both if you're majoring in the subject; getting good scores on those exams will get you out of intro courses. Check the major requirements at your college: most colleges will tell you which courses are definately required. Plus, AP Macro/ Micro are each only a semester (at least at my school), so it's really not that bad.

Im taking macro...and there is NO math at all, just simple graphing techniques.

For business, you will have to end up taking both. If I were you, I would do macro first, get the credit, and then do micro in college which has more to do with your intended major, and may be better learned there than in high school

Or you could always self-study for micro after taking macro. My friend (who was a soph) took macro, self-studied for micro at most 2 weeks before the test, and got 5's on both.
