I’m a a senior and I applied for Microbiology, I have work experience and some extracurriculars. I didn’t take any AP though.
GPA: 3.89
ACT: 26

Can you tell me the chances I have of getting in, or if you applied to Microbio, what were your stats?

I think you have a 50/50 chance, because your right around their averages for CSM. If i’m being honest, your ACT isn’t quite as high as it should be to be “in.” I wouldn’t worry about it though! One thing that is helping you A LOT is that microbiology is not an impacted major! that means its a little easier to get into than a major like biology where more people apply than they have spots for. I was told this by an admissions lady!

I’ll let you evaluate this. My friend got in last year RD (and went there) with a 3.84 and a 2050 SAT.

I second Mkonjib’s opinion. Your ACT is too low for a shoe-in. You will need to raise your score to be comfortably in.

FYI, ALL majors in Cal Poly are impacted, it is just the degree of impactness. I believe microbio is less impacted than say biochem.
